LED display (LED panel): LED is the abbreviation of light emitting diode, or LED for short. It uses the principle of semiconductor P-N junction electroluminescence to produce red, green, and blue colors. It is a semiconductor display device that was not developed in the 1960s. In the 1970s, with the progress of research on semiconductor material synthesis technology, single crystal manufacturing technology, and P-N junction formation technology, the performance of light-emitting diodes in terms of luminous color and brightness was improved and quickly entered mass production and practical application. In the 1980s, LEDs were greatly improved in terms of luminous wavelength range and performance, and began to form flat-panel display products, namely LED display screens. In the late 1980s, a new type of information display media that developed rapidly around the world used dot matrix modules or pixel units composed of light-emitting diodes to form a large-area display screen. With the characteristics of high reliability, long service life, strong environmental adaptability, high price-performance ratio, and low cost of use, it quickly grew into a mainstream product of flat-panel displays in just a decade and has been widely used in the field of information display [1].
LED display screens are divided into graphic display screens and video display screens, both of which are composed of LED matrix blocks. Graphic display screens can display Chinese characters, English texts and graphics synchronously with computers; video display screens are controlled by microcomputers, with graphics, images and rich graphics, and can play various information in a real-time, synchronous and clear information transmission mode, and can also display two-dimensional and three-dimensional animations, videos, TV, VCD programs and live events. LED display screens display pictures in bright colors and strong three-dimensional sense, as quiet as oil paintings and as dynamic as movies. They are widely used in stations, docks, airports, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, banks, securities markets, construction markets, auction houses, industrial enterprise management and other public places
